Lisbeth Holst Gundersen (Madameholst)

Painter and sculptor from Funen, Lisbeth Holst Gundersen, expresses herself in paintings with oil colors and sculptures in bronze.

The inspiration for the works comes from everywhere. For example it can be, on a walk in the market square in Kiel, a drive in the countryside, or in the theatre. The flow of thoughts is set in motion, the lines and colors are put on the canvas, and the sculptures begin to take shape. The artworks are the result of several work processes. It usually starts with me spotting something that sparks creativity, and then she gets her first idea. Next, a form of expression is chosen, for example naturalistic or expressionistic, and then the idea is expressed in the form of brushstrokes, colors on a canvas or forms in bronze.
